Julian Sol Jordan is a 24-year-old multidisciplinary filmmaker and musician from Dallas, Texas. His work blends narrative-driven filmmaking with a personal, emotional style, exploring beauty, metaphor, and the human experience.
Julian first started making films as a child, running around with camera, friends, and family. He developed a lifelong, deeply intuitive approach to storytelling and a hands-on approach to filmmaking, often directing, shooting, and editing his own work. He has directed and edited many music videos, shorts, and feature films. Julian is also an Eagle Scout and a 2020 YoungArts alumni, with a Bachelor's degree in Communications.
His most recent project is the solo essay film Real Life, which established him as an emerging filmmaker to watch. Julian is also the editor of the upcoming feature El Tonto Por Cristo, and is developing his new short films.
Julian is part of the indie duo Sunrise Academy, where he created the band’s visual identity; the duo has gone viral online. He is currently finishing their debut album, Don’t Miss the Field Trip, while developing his debut narrative feature-length script.
