Julian Sol Jordan is a 24-year-old multidisciplinary filmmaker and musician from Dallas, Texas. His work explores memory, transformation, the passage of time, and the human experience.

A theatre graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Julian first began making films at a young age, running around with a camera alongside friends and family. He developed a lifelong, deeply intuitive approach to storytelling and a hands-on approach to filmmaking, often directing, shooting, and editing his own work. He has directed and edited various music videos, short films, and features. Julian is also an alumn of YoungArts and holds degrees in Media Studies and Film (and an Eagle Scout).

His most recent project, the feature-length essay film Real Life, was crafted entirely on his own and marked him as an emerging filmmaker to watch. Julian is also the editor of the upcoming feature El Tonto Por Cristo, and is developing his new short-form work.

Julian is part of the indie duo Sunrise Academy, where he also created the band’s visual identity; the duo has gone viral online. He is currently finishing their debut album, Don’t Miss the Field Trip, while developing his first narrative feature-length script.
